About Kurt Jordan + The Work
Kurt's photography reflects his deep and consistent interest in new areas of knowledge and experience. His early studies at the San Francisco Art Institute in photography while building museum installations led to creating a woodworking business with his wife, then their life shift to restore and sail a 48ft Cheoy Lee Offshore for a three year sailing adventure while parenting three kids. Returning to the United States he pursued building turn-key estates with some of the finest builders and craftsman in the Los Angeles and Santa Barbara areas of California, all the while photographing architecture and interiors for clients and developing his personal portfolio. His photographs are an extension of his clients vision, telling a story of both the design and the balance between light + form that define the spaces where people live, work and play. The images reflect an understanding of creativity, materials and craft, honed from his experience as a photographer and builder. Kurts path to full time photography is defined by a deep interest in the world around him and pushing what is possible. Austin, Texas is his home base to the world.
